Oxygen Therapy

Who should attend?
Persons who are qualified as First aiders at work or as an appointed person, who work in a workplace where Oxygen is available for use in an emergency situation.
Aims and Objectives!
The aim of the course is to teach the candidates how to administer Oxygen in a safe and effective way. The course will update and refresh the candidates on their Basic Life Support skills, explain the function of the respiratory and circulatory systems, identify when and when not to administer Oxygen as well as the safe maintenance and storage of the equipment and record keeping.
The chances of survival or recovery for a casualty who has gone into cardiac arrest or who has severe breathing difficulties can be greatly improved by the administration of Oxygen by a qualified person, Any organization that works in a high risk environment working in confined spaces or with toxic gases or fumes should have their staff trained in Oxygen administration.
On successful completion of the course the candidate will receive a certificate in the administration of Oxygen, which will be valid for 1 year.

Suitable for work places who hold Oxygen administration equipment, this is a 1 day course for up to 12 students.
